Så minns vi Picassoutställningen 1965

Welcome to an afternoon where we will bring back memories of the Picasso exhibition at Kiruna City Hall in 1965. The exhibition, which included over a hundred works, made a strong impression on many Kiruna residents – and the stories live on.

During the lecture, we will hear about the significance of art for the city then and now, and discuss how experiences of the legendary exhibition have been shaped over time. Perhaps you were there yourself? Some remember visiting with their school class, others remember their father standing guard with a rifle, or how their big brother sneaked in every day to admire the paintings.
