Film screening: Drifting woods by Pia Rönicke

As part of the exhibition The Observatory: Art and Life in the Critical Zone, artist Pia Rönicke’s video Drifting Woods will be screened. The artist will introduce the work prior to the screening. Drifting Woods, from 2023, deals with the history and future of woods through how they are constantly documented and represented – how the woods are “narrated”. The video was recorded in the woods around Gävle, attempting at “de-documenting” and “de-representing” the woods. Drifting Woods is 100 minutes long.
